Adventure Highlights: Thermal springs, steam box spa’s, multitude of adventure sports, seeing an active volcano, amazing waterfalls, lush tropical country side.
Baños has been called the Adventure Sports capital of Ecuador, it is possible to take part in almost any activity from bridge swinging to rafting to climbing a rumbling active volcano. If this all sounds a little extreme you could take a dip in the famous volcanic hot springs, be cleansed in a steam box or have relaxing massage. Baños truly has something for everyone …
Day 1
08:00 - 10:00 Leave Quito heading along the world famous Avenue of Volcano’s stopping along the way for photos
10:00 -11:30 Stop in Ambato for some of the famous fresh baked cookies and bread.
11:30 - 13:30 Hearty lunch in Baños to prepare us for an afternoon of adventures
13:30 - 18:00 Spend the afternoon exploring Baños, visit a Spa and be pampered, go horse ridding, hire a quad bike and head out into the lush green hills….These are just a few of the activities you can do, the list is almost endless.
18:00 - Visit the famous Hot Springs to relax.
19:30 - Dine in one of the many great restaurants and then on to a bar or two.
Day 2
08:00 - Today we can arrange a trek up the infamous rumbling Tungurahua volcano. Or maybe a trip across the river in a cable car to see some of the many amazing waterfalls. Don´t forget the exilerating 60km down hill ride towards the Amazon jungle. For those of you who want to get wet we could take to the water and raft down one of the local mighty rivers or rapel down a waterfall!
18:00 - Another evening soaking the hot springs after a day of adventure
19:30 - Dinner time in one of the great restaurants and then on to a bar or two or alternatively an early night after all your adventures.
Day 3
08:00 - Another morning of high adrenaline or maybe a herbal bath, spa and massage
13:00 - Lunch in Baños
14:00 - Time to return to Quito….
Mode of Transport.
We will be traveling in a fully expedition equipped Toyota Land Cruiser 4×4. The Land Cruiser is both safe and comfortable and has legendary off road capabilities. On board we carry a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, maps, tools, GPS. The vehicle will be driven by a trained and licensed truck/coach driver with many years of experience driving expeditions throughout Latin America.
Your guide.
This adventure we be guided and driven by a qualified mountain guide with many years of expedition experienced in Ecuador and Latin America. We always provide off the beaten track type adventure with a high European standard of safety.
