Horse surgery

Well I just really wanted to keep this as a quick blog, I wasn’t quite sure where to publish this, basically I feel the photos don’t do the surgery Justice. A quick rundown, this young horse a successful show jumper for many years, recently had been showing symptoms of aggression. The decision was made to do the surgery, due to the horse change in character, the blood tests were showing very little Testosterone, but due to the character changes it was decided that a testicle maybe hidden and had not been removed the first time round.
The first attempt at the horse surgery had been unsuccessful, due to not locating the horses testy, it was very obviously substantially hidden. Thanks to Sebastian Mejia a Veterinary surgeon, on the second attempt the testy was successfully removed. Below you are able to see the operation in process.I would just like to give thanks to the club Arrayanes in Puembo Ecuador, in supporting this, the horse is now back on his feet and doing well.
