I have found a pretty good map to the house.
You need to carry on to the north of Quito until you get to the roundabout with El Condado Shopping Mall on
it. From there, take to exit north off the roundabout (towards the
'Mitad del Mundo'). Carry on straight until you get to the equator
monument (on the left). Keep going straight on this roundabout. From
there you should carry on until you get to the top of a long hill.
After that you start going down. Basically keep straight all the way,
you will need to go through the various towns on the attached map. One
of them is a bit confusing to go through it, just ask how to get to
Esmeraldas if you get stuck (or follow other Pichincha number plate cars
(beginning with P) going through the town.

After about 4 hours you will
reach a T-junction where there is a Gas station and various fruit stalls
on the right. This is a good place to stop to buy fruit to take with
you. Turn right and continue for another hour along this road until you
reach the city of Esmeraldas. Here carry on along the main road (veer
left, do not go straight into Esmeraldas). You go past Atacames and
towards Same and you will see a big sign at the entrance to Casablanca
on the right. State at the gat that you will be staying at Alcazar del
Sol and continue past the mini-supermarket on the right for another 50
yards until you see the sign for 'Alcazar del Sol'. Once you get let
into the small car park, drive in to the end and park on the spot at the
end on the right (nearest the footbridge).
The housekeeper or my sister and brother-in-law (Jon & Mel) will give
you the keys on arrival. The housekeeper (Melba) lives nearby always
has the keys.
